Destinations : Malaysia

Malaysia is the wonderful country of southeast Asia. Cameron Highlands Hill Station is the one of the most attraction point in Malaysia.

It was the month of May (2011) and i was preparing for my entrance examinations for Masters
Programme in Business Administration , as the result of graduation is awaited. I forgot to introduce myself , my name is Ashish and i am B. Com final year student of Delhi University , I live there with my family. As i have explained to you as most of my friends are preparing for entrance examinations for higher studies , so as i . I still remember that day when i got a call from my close friend (Varun) saying that he won a holiday package to Malaysia in a competition and when he ask me that will you company ? I really got excited but the thing is that that package is only valid up to 31st May , 2011 . Varun told me that we will go to there on Friday night and come back by Tuesday morning , by this way we have to skip only one day coaching class . As both of us already have a valid passport and rest of all the paper work is to be done by the company who give away the prize so we are least bothered about that thing . I don’t know how exactly how many times i have told Ashish that he is very lucky and in turn he used to reply that i am also very lucky as i am the only person accompanying him , as his family members has gone to there native place to attend some ceremony.

Our journey starts from 27th May, 2011 morning as in the morning i went to Varun's home in Dwarka (where he stay). Throughout the day we searched over the internet about the places which are worth visit in Malaysia . We collected all the information which is essential for us , as English is used widely over there so language is not a problem there . As it was a holiday package won in a competition so we are not much bothered about the places , where to go or where to not as everything is already planned by the organizers of the trip . We take a taxi to airport at 3'o clock as our flight is scheduled on 5:30 Am , we reached the at the airport within 30 minutes . When we just entered the plane the crew informed us that it will take approximately five and half hour to reach there so be relax and enjoy the journey .

Petronas Twin Towers

The only thing at that time i know about the Malaysia is the Petronas Twin Towers which i have
heard that it is one of the tallest buildings in the world . And really i have got a chance to see
those things in real . At 10:45 in the morning we land at the airport , Kuala Lumpur. Upon reaching the airport we hire a taxi and straight away move to the hotel , as in the afternoon after lunch there is a outing to some places and to the market . Even after traveling from last 7-8 hours both of us are not that much tired as one should be . After having our lunch we went out to see the Petronas towers . They are really very tall fine buildings.

Batu Caves

After clicking some photographs there we went to a stall and have some snacks there . We asked a local guy that which is the another approachable spot from there . He told us that it the sacred place for the Hindu's and we can go to the Batu Caves (13 kms from Kuala Lumpur) and he also told us we can reach there within half an hour . We board a bus from there and started towards Batu Caves. We reached there at 4:00 Pm in the evening .

When we reached back in the hotel we are really surprised by the way the devotees have pierced
there mouth , some women also paying homage to the Statue of Lord Murugan . We found many of the South Indian near the temple . We had our dinner in the hotel and directly went to our room , i don’t know when i got asleep as i was very tired , even more horrified by the things i have seen in the evening.

Redang Island

On Sunday we decided to to go to the beaches of Malaysia . We went early in the morning from hotel at around eight without having our breakfast . We came to know that we can hire a motorbike for a day and we got one for just 2000 Rs , we went to the Redang which is approximately 80 kms away from KL. It is the most beautiful island in this area and the most visited place by tourists. Then we went to the Ottoman Island this island. It is one of the beautiful islands with natural wonders. The golden sandy beaches with offshore reefs and crystal blue water are great destination for underwater enthusiasts .

Cameron Highlands

We came back to the hotel at late night and in the morning we returned the bike. As we have reserved the last date to visit hills and we went to the Cameroon Highlands. IT took three hours to reach there by bus . Cameron Highlands is the smallest district in the state of Pahang which is located in the north-western corner of the state. One of the wonders of Malaysia. We clicked number of photographs there and chat with the locals . BY the evening when we reached back in the hotel we thought it would be best if we go there by motobikes. In the morning we take a taxi to the airport as our flight is going to take off at 9'o clock in the morning . We reached Delhi at 3 Pm . Both of us went to our houses , it was really one of the most memorable trip of my life.
